4th September our first meeting following the summer break, a club competition.


"Film to a Record or Poem" congratulations to Ed Kinge for his very inspired film 


"Java Jive" filmed to the record produced by the Ink Spots.
 

2nd October Potters FilmMakers hosted Wanstead and Woodford Movie Makers at the Wyllyotts Centre for the Roy Wainwright Shield.


The competition was very tough and the score ended drawn until the judge was asked to choose the best film of the evening. Finally being decided on the film with the biggest cast. So congratulations to Wanstead and Woodford Movie Makers.

Summer Garden Party 3rd August 
hosted by Ian and Norma Luetchford at their home in Elstree, a great BIG THNK YOU to them for providing the club with this very special event. 

A splendid tea followed by some entertaining activities made the afternoon one to remember.

Potters Bar FilmMakers at Potters Bar Carnival

Members of the club were situated at various points along the Carnival route the object being to film the procession and to include some footage in our Public Show! A Matinee and an Evening performance to be held at Northaw Village Hall on 11th October  We also entered a float in the parade. A very good time was had by all, lots of work though very good fun. We understand at one time there were more than seven hundred visitors to the Elm Court Site.

Fantastic evening! Penny Love made an excellent job of organising the restaurant making certain that all the courses were delivered to their respective diners. Very efficient! Penny is known as a VOP a very organised person!!

John Parkes our competitions Officer showed his amazing attention to detail when the various awards were presented. Each award was preceded with a quotation from the films judges. The three judges from the Orpington Video and Film Makers Club issued their results as follows...
Film of the Year to Brian Palmer for "The Gamble" 
Brian also was awarded Best Story for "The Gamble"

1st Runner Up Penny Love for her film "A Hand Full of Prickles" also winner of the Best Documentary and the Film Maker of the Year Award too! Well done Penny

2nd Runner Up Ed Kinge for the "Advertisement 2"  Ed also received awards for the Best Titles / Graphics for "The First Time" and Best Camerawork for "Advertisement 1"

Graduate Video of the Year to Ian Luetchford for "Cruising the Danube".  Ian was also awarded the best use of sound for his film A Day in Venice
