1st Round of the IAC NTR Knockout Competition - 19th March 2015
Colchester Film Makers Club had a ran away with victory with a very strong programme of 4 films, The Art of Nat, Ransome Note, Finding Rockzy and Horesplay. The objective of the competition is to show "The Best Programme" of films which they certainly did with a well filmed and presented documentary of the artist Nat Young, the excellent and imaginative Ransome Note, a film that we understand achieved a Diamond award at this years BIAAF, a charming and nicely acted tale of two children looking for Rockzy in their native forest, finishing with a 'one liner' to leave the audience chuckling.
Bourne End Video Makers programme was not as well balanced as Colchester but finished with a memorable drama full of special effects that was imaginatively lit.
Sadly, two of Potters Bar's films were not particularly liked by the judges which meant that this is not to be their year to compete in the final as they have done so often in the past.
